Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies



1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

2. Grease two baking sheets.

3. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

4. Cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.

5. Add the eggs, one at a time, and beat until blended.

6. Add the vanilla and beat well.

7. Add the flour mixture, a little at a time, and beat until blended. Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts.

8. Drop the dough in rounded teaspoonfuls onto the baking sheets, leaving about 2" between them.

9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until set.

10. Cool for about 1 minute on the baking sheets and then cool completely on wire racks. Makes 45 to 48 cookies.
