Spaghetti with Basil Pesto and Vegetables



  1. Bring four quarts lightly salted water to a boil.

  2. Add potatoes, beans and garlic.

  3. Cook, uncovered, for three minutes.

  4. Add pasta and return to a boil, stirring often until it's al dente.

  5. Remove a quarter cup of pasta water and combine it with pesto in a large serving dish.

  6. Drain the pasta, potatoes and galic and toss gently with the pesto.

  7. Top each serving with pine nuts and tomatoes.
